Location

We went out and took some photos of the location of which we would be intending to film in. The first two photos are of the forest, which were taken inside. We thought that these two areas would be a good place to film with a bit more low key lighting. We also liked the overcrowded tree branches and sticks, this allows to create a more depth atmosphere creating more intensity as this would start to scare the audience at the beginning as we intend to film some establishing shots of the forest. Also we will be filming the group of friends or pair of friends exploring to find out more about the film. This would adhere to the conventions of a horror film as this would start to set the scene which would build tension for the audience as horror film would have some sort of forest element to it to start to scare the audience.
Then we took a picture of the tree that we are going to use to show one of the girls being missing. We thought that this area would be good place to film because it has leaves hanging from it and its also inside the forest, so it can seem more realistic of which shows it will complement well with our scene we film our film trailer as its quite hidden and overcrowd as it will create some tension for the audience leaving an enigma code about where this place is. This would be our scene where the missing girl would be tied up to shown in the photos on the phone. So this tree would be suitable for our trailer as it will go well with our storyline and would adhere to the conventions of a horror film as the tree will show used to cause threat to the characters and the atmosphere will start to scare the audience. However we would need to add some leaves on the ground to leave clues for the girls when they go and investigate and find a dead body. The leaves would allow to create an enigma code to allow the protagonists to go and search further so this location would suit our genre of our film  as there will be blood as well here connoting danger and threat. We also got a long shot of the location of which we have decided to put the tent up, we thought that it was good area as it was quite spacious and we would be quite good to film a long shot or a panning shot to show the location to the audience which would complement well with our non diegetic sound.
We have decided to film in a living room, as this will be the place where the girls will be staying. We would have to change the layout of the living room, by moving the coffee table so creates more space, also we would move one of the sofas forward so we can shoot a panning shot of when the women is talking about the past to the girls. We would adapt the lighting at night when as this would show the most energetic part of which the antagonist would come and start to annoy the girls and a lot of tension would be created which would complemented with non-diegetic sound.

We also took a photo a bottom of a wardrobe, clearly we would clear out the space which would be used for the antagonist area when it makes an appearance into the trailer,as it would only last for a duration of 2-3 seconds then the camera would cut out leaving an enigma code for the audience and will create a scare for audience. We will be putting one of the possessed girls inside there as well which will come and chase the others as it under the control of the antagonist, so we thought that this location would be a good idea as it an unknown area which lead to having something unexpected happening.
We will be filming along the stairs as this would be our main area for the chase scene. We thought that this would be a good place to film because there are corner which would create a small division when the chase scene happens between the girls and the possessed girls.  We also decided to use this small entrance found further way from the forest as this would be used as part of the chase scene. We thought that this would be a good place to film as this entrance look would seem unexpected to the cast as they will have no choice but to go through, but will also show a division between the antagonist and the protagonists.
