When choosing our cast for our film we decided to conduct an interview with them to find out a bit of background about them and there past experience in acting.
Hayley Knight
Why would you be good for this role?
I have seen that this role has a mysterious side whilst playing a role of an ordinary girl where the setting can be related to a camping scene with a few friends so its a more relaxed role which I would be interested in playing.
What acting experience have you had that will help you with this role?
8 years of acting experience with stage coach in leatherhead
Have you considered how you could show the character successfully through your body language and voice?
Yes, because I have played many roles before in the past, so I will be able to get into, as the protagonist is antagonist lead a similar role, to what happens in real life.
Who is favourite actor? Why?
Jeromy Irving took role of the "Albert " in war horse very well because he managed to portray a range of emotions and changing his voice to fit the setting in Devon. I found this very moving because the way he can adapt to different demands through the film
- In a Horror film trailer , what characteristics would you expect from the antagonist?
The antagonist would usually be presented as quite quite, dark and mysterious leaving the audience an enigma code about who he is, as he seem quite hidden with its personality.
Hayley Knight
Hayley will be good for the antagonist role because she has played many different characters in the past she shows an interest in playing a mulit role in our the trailer. These have all asked different demands of her which she has successfully portrayed to the audience. The acting experience which Hayley has had is that she attended Stagecoach Leatherhead for 8 years in which she took no breaks suggesting that she is hard working and reliable. She has thought very well about the role in which she will be playing because she has been on stage since she was 7 years old so she will be confident and also know when to over react with body language and her voice. Her favourite actor is Jeremy Irvine, because plays a good role, as he gets emotions through to the audience. She says "Jeremy Irvine took the role of "Albert" in 'Warhorse' very well as he managed to adapt his voice to the Devon accent and also portrayed his role as a 17 year old boy very well. He put his love across for his horse in this film which was very evident to the audience because he was using his body language and also his facial expressions. I found this very moving to watch as he managed to create the emotional role. Jeremy Irvine is my main inspiration whilst I am acting because of the way he can adapt to different demands that different films have for him. We asked about what characteristics is there to expect in a horror film trailer, and she said that the antagonist would usually be very dark and mysterious and will have have hidden identity. we will be including some of these features as these are conventions which adhere to the film genre. This shows that she has some background knowledge about what the antagonist should be like.
