Evaluation 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

This is our presentation of our trailer where we talked about our initial ideas and strengths and weaknesses of the production:

Here is our audience feedback from peers:

Strengths:
We found that the audience liked our sound because of how we re-recorded it to make it clearer. In our opinion this was one of our strengths. Also, our use of titles made it conventional to a horror trailer. The production titles seemed to be professional meaning that they made the trailer more dramatic. We followed the conventions of a horror film with our setting because we used a haunted house and the woods location showing a darker and creepier side to the trailer. We used long shots making it conventional to the horror genre which were also clear. The snapshot photos also went down well because of how they gave an insight into the story. This also engaged the audience right from the beginning. Our use of props were also good as they were conventional to a horror film.

Areas to develop:
We could of made the production titles longer so that the audience could clearly see them. We could have also used faster and upbeat music to fit with the pace of the editing. We needed to have quicker shots to build more tension in the trailer and engaging the audience further. We could have given a further insight of why the two girls are so interesting in the house. We could have used a faster editing pace to build tension and engage the audience further. To conform to the conventions further we could have used the props more to link back to the beginning. Finally we could have used some scarier sound effects throughout the trailer.
